The CD Project Red development studio is currently preparing the release of Cyberpunk 2077 and will probably talk about the associated multiplayer project in early 2021. This is something really big.
When Cyberpunk 2077 comes out on December 10th, a single-player campaign awaits us. But, as the developers announced some time ago, we can also look forward to a multiplayer project. CD Projekt Red has now spoken a little about that.
Cyberpunk multiplayer is getting big
Cyberpunk 2077: The multiplayer project may be revealed in early 2021
Adam, President of CD Project Red, explained about the multiplayer of Cyberpunk 2077 (buy now € 58.19 ): “First of all we don’t call it a mode. It is a separate, own production, a large production. We consider it a stand-alone product. Of course, it is not entirely stand-alone as it comes from the cyberpunk universe and is very related to the concept of single-player cyberpunk that we – that I came up with. But from our perspective, it’s another independent production and an independent team of people are working on it. We don’t focus too much on it right now, about other future products to speak, products to be released after cyberpunk. So please be there in the first quarter of next year when we plan to release a strategy update. And I believe the cyberpunk multiplayer part will be possible. ”
This means that we can expect something bigger from the multiplayer that CD Projekt Red is planning for Cyberpunk 2077, basically an independent product. That’s when Red Dead Online comes to mind, the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2, which is also released as a standalone game. Maybe something similar awaits us with cyberpunk multiplayer. So we will probably find out between the beginning of January and the end of March 2021.
