Season 2 of The Witcher series has not yet appeared on Netflix, as there are already first reports on the following season 3. The production of The Witcher third season should therefore already have received the green light. Meanwhile, the first pictures from season 2 are shown.
The Witcher series on Netflix will apparently get a third season. The shooting of the second season has not yet ended, but the Witcher fan site Redanian Intelligence has discovered reliable evidence that the successful fantasy series will continue after the end of season 2.
The Witcher on Netflix: Production of season 3 should start in 2020
The Redanian Intelligence fansite has tracked down an entry on the Writer’s Guild of America West website that reports that The Witcher series will continue with the third season. In addition, Lauren S. Hissrich will continue to work as showrunner for the series. In addition to Hissrich’s involvement, there is another detail about the Netflix series on the website. Accordingly, production should be planned from 2020 to 2021.
Meanwhile, it will be a while before season 2 of The Witcher series starts on Netflix – after all, the first pictures of the Geralt actor from season 2 are shown on Twitter. The corona crisis caused filming to stop. On August 17th, however, filming could continue. Due to the delay, the completion date of the shooting has been postponed until next year. The start date of the second season could therefore be set for around August 2021 after post-production is complete. Season 3 will appear later. Provided that the corona crisis does not throw a spanner in the works again. It remains exciting.
