As the magazine Deadline reports, it is 34-year-old Jodie Turner-Smith, who will slip into the role of Éile in The Witcher: Blood Origins. You may already know Turner-Smith from the movie “Queen & Slim” or from series like “Nightflyers” (where she plays Melantha Jhirl) and Jett (Josie). More details about her role in the new Netflix series are just as little known as a specific start date. Since not all actors have been found for the individual characters so far, it will be a while before filming even starts.

After all, there are already some details about the story of The Witcher: Blood Origin. The plot is set around 1,200 years before the original series, in which Geralt von Rivia (played by Henry Cavill) is the focus. In the six-episode prequel series, fans should learn more about the “Conjunction of the Spheres” – an event that brought magic and monsters into the human world. This ultimately caused the first witcher to awaken. The series is not based on any existing templates in the form of the Witcher novels or games.
